Planting Requirements: Prefers well-draining, well worked loamy soil but can tolerate poor soil as well.

Special Note (s):  Yacón is very easy to grow and requires very little maintenance once the rhizomes are planted. Mature tubers have a crisp, sweet taste and can be eten raw or cooked.
