Planting Requirements: Prefers well-draining, average/sandy soil. The tree is on drought tolerate if grown outdoors in ground. Can be planted in containers and brought indoors but will have to be pruned heavily because of its size.
Special Note (s): The neem tree has many uses throughout the world such as durable lumber for making furniture. The bark, stems and leaves are used medicinally and used in cosmetics products. The oil is popularly used as an insecticide, fungicide, machine lubricant and repellent. The bi product left over from crushing the seeds are made into “cakes” and offers protection from harmful rooting insects such as termites, grubs and nematodes. The “cakes” are also excellent natural fertilizers.
