Planting Requirements: Prefers moist but well-draining soil. The plants cannot tolerate over watering.
Special Note (s): Abyssinian banana make a perfect focal plant to many gardens and patio areas. They will however need some protection from high winds. If planted in ground, they can’t be relocated indoors (they do not tolerate being transplanted after being established. For this reason, container planting is recommended if the plant will be moved indoors during cooler months.
